Although we've found some decent snorkeling from off the rocky end of Long Beach we had promised ourselves that we would do a boat trip at some point.
The weather has been a bit changeable for the last couple of weeks with some cloud and strong winds, not enough to spoil things here but our destination was Koh Haa, an outcrop of five limekarsts way out to sea. A boat journey there's takes about two hours so a nice flat ocean is preferable.
We chose to join a dive boat rather than a speed boat or long tail boat for that very reason.
On board were about 10 divers plus guides and 7 snorkellers plus a guide.
Once in our way we were treated to egg bacon tomato and toast. But best of all a large container containing grated cheddar cheese. How did they know I'd been having withdrawal symptoms for cheese! It's mostly only cheese slices here.
